Bills warming to Toronto

The Rogers Centre will never be Ralph Wilson stadium, but the latest edition of the Bills Toronto Series finally felt like a home game for the Buffalo Bills.

After the Bills defeated the Redskins 23-0 for their first regular season win in Toronoto, current players and alumni commented on Toronto’s NFL fans:

Spencer Jackson:

“I know I was very critical of the environment. But from the very beginning, they were making noise, then they started doing the wave in the fourth quarter (I know, I’m as embarrassed about it as you are). Any noise is good noise. I think we gave them something to cheer about and that’s also something we haven’t done in the past.

Jim Kelly:

“The fans this year were great,” said Bills quarterbac king legend, adding that extra push from the home side is appreciated by the players on the field.

George Wilson:

“Earlier in the week, I was very critical of the vibe up here, and I talked about having to give the crowd something to cheer about,” Wilson said. “This was definitely the most exciting crowd we’ve had since we’ve played up here.”

And fans were quick to show their support to a team who played a monumental game of football.  Spirits are high for the 2012 games in the Bills Toronto Series.
