The Rumours are True: NFL PLAY 60 is Returning to Canada

For the second consecutive year, NFL PLAY 60, the league’s youth health and wellness campaign, will venture north to work with Canadian developmental football programs to encourage Canada’s next generation to get active for 60 minutes a day.

“This is an opportunity to recognize the wonderful efforts occurring at the grassroots level in Canada. The success of the NFL PLAY 60 program in Canada is truly a reflection of the passion and commitment that coaches, players and parents continue to demonstrate across our country every single day,” said Tammy Johnson, Marketing & Events at NFL Canada.

On the heels of a successful inaugural campaign, representatives from nine NFL clubs will head to Canada to partake in this year’s festivities. Dr. Jen Welter, the first woman to coach in the NFL, and a fan favourite at last year’s events, will also reprise her role as a guest instructor at four tour stops.

This year’s NFL PLAY 60 program, the Rising Star Combine, is guaranteed to make Canadian youth feel special. After being drafted, they will be put to the NFL PLAY 60 test with stations that will not only develop their football skills, but teach them valuable lessons like teamwork and sportsmanship, and other ways to have fun while being active.
