About

NFL Canada handles all of the National Football League’s business interests in Canada.

Canadian-specific NFL marketing partnerships and sponsorships extend to dozens of industry leaders. More than 100,000 Canadians attend NFL games in border cities Buffalo, Detroit, Minnesota and Seattle, and some 700,000 more watch on television. And sales of NFL licensed merchandise are the highest among sports leagues and among the top five brands worldwide.

One of the National Football League’s goals, on a multi-national basis, is to support football wherever it is played. NFL Canada, formed in 1997 as a division of NFL International, has also serviced this mission.

Canadians enjoy a rich history of watching and playing professional football, with both the National Football League and the Canadian Football League. The National Football League, through NFL Canada, makes complementing and working in partnership with the Canadian Football League a priority. Both leagues share the goal of strengthening the interest, awareness and participation in football among Canadians.
